How smart are you?
Physics lab – drive me up the wall!
I-CODE stands for INTEC Carnival and Open Day. It starts on Friday night with opening ceremony and continues on Saturday and Sunday. A lot of activities are carried on that day by different group of programmes like all A-levels, Matriculation courses… Some are like Muhibah Run, ALG Fear Factor, Flying Fox… And there are also stalls selling food and drinks.
I took part in Muhibah Run. I am satisfied because I managed to finish the 4 km run and not being the last one. It was exhausting! After that, I took part in ALG Fear Factor. Here ar ethe details:
The sign board says: “Danger”. Actually it is not. I’d rather say it is more to challenging one’s determination.
First stunt: Stand as long as you could on one leg with your hand cuffed behind you and holding four eggs on your palm. Caution: “Standing on only one leg could be hurting and painful. Please don’t try this at home.”
Second stunt: Catching fish with your bare hands. First part is to throw a ball into the pail. If you can get a ball in, you reduce the total number of the fish you are going to catch by one. You are given two chances.
Stunt 2 second part: Transfer the fish to adjacent basin as fast as possible. Time is taken.
Stunt 3: I would say it challenges your mental power and EQ than your courage. One of your hand is put into a “dark box” and locked with password enabled lock. Then, you have to solve 3 mathematical question to get 3 digits in order to unlock the key. The 3 digits could be in any orders. What is so special about “dark box”?
Inside the dark box: No wonder my hand feels sudden pain!!! Well you have to keep calm and calculate correctly so that you can unlock the lock as soon as possible. Time is taken.
Earth Hour 2009 aims to reach more than one billion people in 1000 cities around the world, inviting communities, business and governments to switch off light on 8.30 p.m. at Saturday night, 28 March 2009.
So do I, who stay in student hostel in Shah Alam, Malaysia. However, what can I do in one hour without light? By the way, I have to continue my homework. So I switch off everything except my table lamp.
In my opinion, we do not save energy only on earth hour, but also in everyday life. Although it will save a lot of energy for everyone in the world to switch off the light though for just only an hour, that is only in short term only.
KUALA LUMPUR, March 26 (Bernama) -- Tenaga Nasional Bhd (TNB) has assured the public that electricity supply would not be switched off during the worldwide event, Earth Hour, this Saturday.
Without electricity, our life will be in great difficulties. Imagine if TNB were to switch off the electric supply in whole Malaysia, the police computer systems would not be able to function, telecommunication will stop functioning and crime will be everywhere.
After all, Earth Hour is more to dimming light than completely switching off the light. The act of dimming light is to show about commitment to reduce energy consumption throughout the year.
Long time didn’t blog already. Too busy. Now I have a lot to write:
1. Last year nostalgia. I had wanted to posted it but got no time. The person in the video always want me to post his pictures on my blog, now it is time to fulfil my promise.
2. Last week story (during mid-sem. break).
My uncle came to KL for holiday. So, together with my cousin who lives nearby , he brought me out to somewhere around Mutiara Damansara. And, he bought this table lamp for me – 10 watts.
It is bright enough. With it, I can comfortably do my homework. Wow, superb!
Ai…ya. Not really when compare it to the table next to it. It was a contrast, right? Look at the previous picture, bottles and food all around other than stationery and books. How can it be comfortable?
3. This week. German Open Mike.
Feeling happy and relief because I have finally done my open mike today. It means no more stress next week. I knew my problem – couldn’t speak German well. Hopefully time will improve my weakness.
The birthday cake. Yy likes strawberry. She still mumbled that there are too little strawberries on the cake.
Yy, Sing Yee, Yii Hui (from left to right)
A powerful blow. Wow, look, the chocolate decoration had been blown out onto the table.
Abiman is very attentive. He even prepared present for Yy - a skirt. I wonder what does it signify?

14 February, Saturday Raining, Cloudy
My Journey:
Shah Alam (Rapid KL) > KL Sentral (KTM Komuter) > Putra (Lousy Air-conditioned Bas) > Jerteh (Pickup by En. Yusuf) > Kuala Besut (Warm welcome by Mr. Ong and boat transfer) > Pulau Perhentian
Everything went smoothly all the way. However, while my friends and I were on the way to Perhentian Island, it rained heavily. Therefore, every one on the board got wet.
We were accompanied by two tourist guides, one called Nur and another called D. D mixed well with us and he talked a lot…
Lazy to write more… Click here for details. It is my friend’s blog. He writes very details about the trip.
A few weeks ago I just noticed there were two newly born kittens loitering in my hostel compound. One is brown while another was black. This week I found the black kitten decomposing outside the fence. People said it happened since last week.
