Review for "The Most Beautiful Seventh Day" (translation)

After watching the movie (Cantonese series), I like it very much. Despite the fact that the language used is in Chinese (dialect), I would like to write the review in English. It is no harm to try something......new or I rather say......challenging. Ha, ha! Eh...first I would like to introduce four main characters in this movie.

He is Yau Zhi Yin, currently works as a onlooker (rescuer) at the seaside. He has no fix job and always hangs out with a group of weird, peculiar friends.



She is Lin Ka Yan, works in a pet shop, having great love to animals especially puppies. She has a puppy called Jack. She has a cousin called Jade, who always hangs out with her 3J gang.




He is Ah Don, graduated from university and doing online business, always dream to become rich. He and his gang established a company called DDMK, which has been derived from their initials: Don, Dino, Martin and KK.



She is Sasa, an artist who works with a publisher to draw comic strip. She has a gang of friends who also known as 3J gang: Julie, Jessie, Jade.

Episode 1 - 2

This story was about two men who were born on same day, 7th of August. One man had good luck while another did not have. The narrator described life as playing see-saw. When a man was on his highest position (having good luck), another was on his lowest position (having bad luck), and this situation alternate throughout the life.

Zhi Yin just had a quarrel with his boss and quitted his job as a seaside onlooker (rescuer). On the other hand, Ah Don had just got a good deal with a buyer and he had to send his stock before three o'clock that day.

Sasa had to submit her comic strip to her boss that day. However, she had not got her work ready. So, she had a notorious idea - to lock her boss in the toilet. Unfortunately, it was Ah Don who was in the toilet. As a result, he was late to send his stocks to a buyer and the business was not a success. So, he had to sell his stocks (fake handbags) at the street to recover some of his loss. That day, at a restaurant above the street, Sasa had a dispute with Jade and accidentally threw a glassware down the street. It landed just in front of Ah Don.

At the same time, while Ka Yan was looking at the handbags, she encountered a pickpocket. Ah Don tried to stop him but to no avail. Instead, he fell down and got his leg hurt by the glass. While the pickpocket made his every endevour to escape using motocycle, he passed Zhi Yin's car. Zhi Yin notised the incident and without any warning, he pushed the door of the car out to stop the motorist. So, he was able to help Ka Yan to regain her belongings.

This is how the director links the main charactors together. I think that the plot is amazing! To be continued......
